Moscow’s gas facilities history extends back for over 146 years, starting from the last century when the street lanterns were filled with “lightning” gas and from soviet epoch of total gasification. Today, MOSGAZ is keeping records of the glorious chronicles of achievements in modern 21st century’s Russia.
29th of January 1865 is rightfully considered to be a significant historical date for gas facilities of Moscow as Moscow City Duma have executed agreement with “Bouken and Goldsmith” British company which won the bid for concession for construction of the plant near Kursk railway station with the “total area of 7 dessiatines with 4 gas holders with the capacity of 13,6 thousand m3 each” for production of “lighting “ gas processed by coal distillation. Beginning of the commercial operation of the city’s gas facilities dates back to January 29, 1865, when he first three underground cast-iron gas pipelines were filled with “lighting” gas and extended to the Red Square, the Pokrovsky Gates and the Garden Ring Road. On the 27th of December of the same year the mayor of the city A. Sherbakov lighted the first gas jet in the Kremlin near the Archangel Cathedral.

Started his professional career in 1988 as a Design Engineer, since 1999 worked as a Main Specialist of the Fuel and Energy Division of Moscow city (in 2003 was renamed as the Fuel and Energy Department).
From 2005 until May, 2009 — Senior Deputy CEO of the Fuel and Energy Department of Moscow city.
Since may 2009 — General Director of SUE “MOSGAZ”.
