Presentation: The SUE “MOSGAZ” Laboratory of Structural Materials Physical and Mechanical Properties Analysis

The SUE “MOSGAZ” Multi-Purpose Laboratory for Structural Materials Physical and Mechanical Properties Research

The SUE “MOSGAZ” laboratory for structural materials physical and mechanical properties research focuses on conducting research of structural materials of pipelines and other appliances and devices of the gas-distribution network in order to determine exact physical and mechanical properties of those materials, as well as defect identification, integrity damages and other faults of such materials for prevention of emergency situations.

The initiation of the SUE “MOSGAZ” multi-purpose laboratory for structural materials physical and mechanical properties research has been stipulated by the following reasons:

  1. The laboratory executes the incoming inspection of pipes and other structural elements of the gas-distribution system, conducts a prompt analysis of reasons for breakdowns and technical faults of gas pipelines, thus, enhancing the reliability of the SUE “MOSGAZ” gas networks operation.
  2. The laboratory conducts many researches at various districts of the city and participates in investigations of technical faults. That is why it is not necessary to engage third parties’ services even if they possess extensive experience and resources.
  3. It is planned to establish a specialized multi-purpose laboratory of the Municipal Economy Complex which would provide the efficient overall maintenance of the municipal services on the basis of such laboratory.
